Certified BioClear® Provider

Dr. Sundeep Chohan, General Dentist, is a Bioclear Certified Provider, which means she completed advanced training on the method. The restorative and cosmetic technique offers better aesthetics and longevity than traditional composite bonding, but is less expensive and retains more natural tooth structure than porcelain veneers or crowns.

The system utilizes thin, anatomic tooth forms, called a matrix or matrices, that are fitted around the teeth and injected with composite resins. Instead of being layered on, the resin flows all over the tooth, correcting gaps, discoloration, enamel wear, black triangles and other cosmetic imperfections. The finished teeth look and feel natural and are strengthened in the process.

The BioClear Treatment Process

01

Come in for an Exam

At your visit, we’ll take digital x-rays and a wellness scan, and Dr. Chohan will perform an exam. If BioClear is the best option for your smile, Dr. Chohan will fill you in on what to expect, the cost and any other considerations.

02

Relax While We Apply the Resin

Dr. Chohan will place the clear, plastic matrix on either side of the affected tooth. She’ll inject the matrix with two different types of warmed composite resins. The resins will wrap around the entire tooth. Then, Dr. Chohan will use a special light to cure, or harden, the material.

03

Enjoy Your Rejuvenated Smile

The matrix will be removed and Dr. Chohan will polish the resin so it looks and feels natural. When finished, you’ll see significant improvements in the shape, color and form of your tooth.

What is Bioclear?

Bioclear is a modern cosmetic dental option that Dr. Sundeep Chohan, General Dentist, is proud to offer. The treatment is changing the way dentists restore and revitalize teeth.

The Bioclear method involves wrapping plastic tooth forms, or matrices, around the affected teeth. The forms are then injected with a warm composite material that flows all around the tooth. Dr. Chohan shapes and polishes the hardened material to look like natural enamel.

What smile concerns can Bioclear fix?

Our South Surrey Bioclear provider can use the method to address:

  • Gaps or spaces
  • Mild misalignment
  • Black triangles
  • Chipped edges
  • Damage from trauma
  • Discoloration
  • Enamel wear
  • And more!

What are the advantages of Bioclear vs. other cosmetic dental treatments?

When comparing Bioclear to veneers, cosmetic dental bonding or crowns and bridgework, here’s how the method stacks up:

  • We can use Bioclear to fix multiple cosmetic concerns at once.
  • Bioclear restorations are stronger, longer lasting and more stain-resistant than cosmetic dental bonding.
  • Treatment costs less than veneers, dental crowns or bridgework.
  • Bioclear doesn’t usually require the removal of any natural tooth structure.
  • It can often be completed in a single appointment.
  • We can achieve a highly aesthetic finish and natural shine with the technique.
